Beta. Expanded TikTok Ads management is being released gradually. Some capabilities described here depend on TikTok enabling your advertiser account or the connected application.

GoMarble helps you understand performance, discover account resources, prepare campaign changes, and publish approved updates to TikTok Adsβ€”all through conversation.

You stay in control of every campaign change. GoMarble shows you what will change before anything is published, and you choose which updates to approve.

What you can do

Understand account performance

Ask GoMarble to analyze your TikTok Ads performance across campaigns, ad groups, ads, audiences, and creatives.

You can:

  • Compare spend, impressions, clicks, conversions, and other available metrics.

  • Review campaign, ad-group, and ad performance.

  • Break down results by audience or creative.

  • Inspect ad-review status and rejection details.

  • Review changes previously made in the TikTok Ads account.

  • Generate larger asynchronous reports when that capability is enabled by TikTok.

Example requests:

  • "Show my best-performing TikTok campaigns from the last 30 days."

  • "Compare creative performance and identify ads that need refreshing."

  • "Why was this ad rejected?"

  • "Show the recent changes made to this advertiser account."

Explore campaign setup and account resources

GoMarble can inspect the resources available to your TikTok advertiser account before recommending or preparing a campaign.

This includes:

  • Advertiser accounts and account details.

  • Business Centers.

  • Posting identities.

  • Pixels and custom conversion events.

  • Audiences.

  • Geographic, interest, and behavior targeting options.

  • Music available for supported creative formats.

  • Catalogs, product sets, products, and TikTok Shop stores.

  • Account balance and finance information when available.

GoMarble uses these resources to build a configuration that is compatible with the selected advertiser account rather than guessing IDs or eligibility.

Create campaigns, ad groups, and ads

GoMarble can prepare a complete standard TikTok campaign structure, including:

  • A new campaign.

  • One new ad group.

  • One or more ads.

It can also:

  • Add a new ad group and ads to an existing campaign.

  • Add ads to an existing ad group.

  • Upload images and videos to the advertiser's TikTok asset library.

  • Copy an eligible campaign.

For multiple new ad groups, GoMarble prepares each ad group separately under the selected campaign.

New campaign structures are prepared paused by default so they do not begin spending immediately after approval. You can review the completed setup before enabling delivery.

Update existing campaigns

GoMarble can prepare supported changes to existing:

  • Campaign names, budgets, and statuses.

  • Ad-group budgets, schedules, targeting, bidding, and statuses.

  • Ad copy, creative configuration, calls to action, destination URLs, and statuses.

Some TikTok settings cannot be changed after creation. Placement is the most important example: changing placement requires creating a new ad group.

Work with specialized TikTok campaign types

Depending on your TikTok account permissions, GoMarble can also help with:

  • Upgraded Smart+ campaigns.

  • Smart Creative and Automated Creative Optimization.

  • Product Sales and catalog campaigns.

  • TikTok Shop and GMV Max campaigns.

  • Reach & Frequency reservation campaigns.

  • Split tests.

  • Automated rules.

  • Ad-review appeals.

  • Offline event sets.

Some of these features require TikTok to enable the advertiser account or the connected developer application. GoMarble cannot bypass a TikTok-side eligibility restriction.

How approval works

GoMarble separates planning from publishing.

  1. It reads the current TikTok Ads account configuration.

  2. It checks the proposed setup for missing or incompatible fields.

  3. It shows an approval card describing the proposed change.

  4. You can approve, edit, reject, or skip the change.

  5. Only approved changes are sent to TikTok.

  6. GoMarble reports whether TikTok completed or rejected the operation.

When a request includes a campaign, ad group, and ads, each entity has its own approval state. Approved entities are published in dependency order so the newly created campaign and ad-group identifiers are applied to their children automatically.

Rejected and skipped changes are not published.

Creating a successful campaign

GoMarble follows a creative-first workflow because creative format determines which placements and identities are valid.

1. Select the creative

You can provide:

  • A video.

  • A single image.

  • Images for a carousel.

  • An existing ad to use as a reference.

  • A product catalog or TikTok Shop store for a commerce campaign.

If you want to promote a catalog or store, that inventory must already exist in TikTok Ads Manager or Business Center. GoMarble can discover existing inventory but cannot create a TikTok catalog, product set, or store.

2. Choose a compatible placement

The advertiser's custom identity

Important considerations:

  • A single-image ad cannot run in the TikTok feed.

  • Product Sales campaigns support TikTok placement only.

  • Not every country is available on Pangle or Global App Bundle.

  • Placement cannot be changed after the ad group is created.

  • Automatic placement lets TikTok choose delivery surfaces; it should not be used when a specific placement is required.

GoMarble checks the advertiser's available identities and targeting locations before preparing the campaign.

3. Confirm conversion and commerce resources

Website conversion campaigns usually require:

  • A connected pixel.

  • A supported optimization event.

  • A landing-page URL.

Catalog campaigns require an existing catalog and eligible products or product sets. TikTok Shop campaigns require an eligible store and the necessary Business Center authorization.

4. Review the proposed configuration

Before publishing, confirm:

  • Advertiser account.

  • Objective.

  • Placement.

  • Countries or regions.

  • Budget and currency.

  • Schedule.

  • Optimization goal.

  • Pixel and conversion event.

  • Posting identity.

  • Creative and cover image.

  • Destination URL and call to action.

  • Initial delivery status.

Creative requirements

Video ads

A video ad needs both the video and a cover image. When GoMarble uploads a video, TikTok normally returns a compatible cover image that can be used during ad creation.

The posting identity must be authorized for the selected TikTok advertiser account. For Spark Ads, the identity must also be permitted to use the selected post or uploaded creative.

Single-image ads

Single-image ads run on Pangle or Global App Bundle, not in the TikTok feed. Availability depends on the advertiser's registration market and selected countries.

If the requested country is unavailable for the placement, use an eligible country or provide a video creative for TikTok placement.

Carousel ads

Carousel images must meet TikTok's size and aspect-ratio requirements. Carousel ads also require valid music selected from the advertiser's available TikTok music library.

GoMarble prepares carousel uploads specifically for carousel use. An image that is valid for a standard image ad may still be too large for a carousel.

Product Sales and TikTok Shop

GoMarble supports two distinct commerce paths.

Catalog Product Sales

Use this when the advertiser has a TikTok catalog containing products or product sets.

The campaign can promote:

  • All catalog products.

  • A product set.

  • Selected products.

Catalog Product Sales runs on TikTok placement and requires compatible catalog, ad-group, identity, and creative settings.

TikTok Shop and GMV Max

GMV Max is managed as a campaign-only structure. TikTok controls the downstream delivery structure, so a separate ad group and ads are not added through the standard creation flow.

The connected account must have permission to access the TikTok Shop store. Having a store does not automatically mean the Business Center also has a catalog.

Upgraded Smart+

Upgraded Smart+ uses a separate TikTok campaign system from standard campaigns. Standard campaigns and Smart+ campaigns do not appear in the same TikTok API results.

A complete Smart+ setup is created in stages:

  1. Create and approve the campaign.

  2. Confirm that TikTok created a true Smart+ campaign.

  3. Create and approve the ad group.

  4. Create and approve the ad.

GoMarble carries the identifiers from each completed stage into the next stage.

Why Smart+ creation can fail

Smart+ availability depends on TikTok account enablement. A request can be technically correct and still fail if TikTok has not enabled the advertiser for the complete Smart+ experience.

The strongest warning signs are:

  • The newly created campaign is returned as a regular campaign rather than a Smart+ campaign.

  • Every supported call-to-action value is rejected as unsupported.

  • Campaign copy reports that it is allowlist-only.

These are account-level restrictions, not issues with the uploaded creative. Retrying different calls to action or repeatedly uploading the same asset will not resolve them.

Ask your TikTok representative to confirm that the advertiser is enabled for:

  • Upgraded Smart+ campaigns and ads.

  • The required calls to action.

  • Campaign copy, if needed.

Smart+ identity requirements

Smart+ runs on TikTok placement and requires a compatible Spark identity. If TikTok reports that the identity does not match the selected post or creative:

  • Confirm the identity is authorized for the advertiser.

  • Confirm it is eligible for the selected video or TikTok post.

  • For an existing TikTok post, confirm that the identity actually published that post.

  • For an uploaded video, confirm a matching cover image is available.

Smart+ budget controls

Ad-group budget controls are available only with compatible maximum-delivery or highest-value bidding. TikTok rejects these controls for ad groups using custom bidding.

Reach & Frequency campaigns

Reach & Frequency uses reservation buying and carries additional financial risk.

Before creating a reservation, GoMarble checks:

  • Whether the advertiser has a valid commercial contract.

  • Available delivery timezones.

  • Estimated inventory, reach, impressions, frequency, and cost.

Approving the ad group reserves real budget immediately. A reservation cannot be paused after booking; canceling the order is the supported way to withdraw it. TikTok must enable the advertiser for Reach & Frequency.

Split tests

GoMarble can help create, reschedule, review, and end eligible TikTok split tests.

Before creating one, note that:

  • Participating ad groups generally need to be active.

  • TikTok may overwrite the participating ad groups' budgets.

  • Ending a test is a destructive action and always requires approval.

Ad-review appeals and offline events

GoMarble can retrieve ad-review details and prepare an appeal when TikTok supports one. Appeals may be limited to one submission per rejection, so review the explanation carefully before approving it.

GoMarble can also list, create, and update supported offline event sets. Offline event setup requires all fields mandated by TikTok, including a description where applicable.

Troubleshooting

Authentication failed

The TikTok connection may be expired or stale. Reconnect TikTok Ads from GoMarble settings, then retry once.

Incorrect source field

This usually means the posting identity does not match the selected placement. It can also occur when a single-image ad is configured for TikTok placement.

Check the placement and identity combination instead of replacing the creative.

Unable to access the image

TikTok may have received an internal material reference instead of the usable image reference returned after upload. Re-select or re-upload the asset once, then use the image returned by the successful upload.

A video ad says an image is required

TikTok requires a cover image for video ads. Use the cover returned during video upload or provide a compatible custom cover.

The audience must increase to over 1,000

This commonly means the chosen countries have no inventory on the selected placement. It is usually not solved by broadening demographic targeting.

Choose an eligible placement or location combination.

Custom identities are no longer supported

A custom advertiser identity was selected for TikTok placement. Use an authorized TikTok/Spark identity instead.

The call to action is not supported

First confirm that the selected campaign type and destination support the CTA. If multiple valid CTA choices receive the same error during Smart+ creation, the advertiser likely lacks the required TikTok enablement.

Campaign copy is allowlist-only

TikTok has not enabled campaign copy for the advertiser. A TikTok representative must grant access.

Asynchronous reports are allowlist-only

TikTok has not enabled asynchronous reporting for the connected app or advertiser. Standard reporting remains available.

Budget is below the minimum

TikTok budget minimums can vary by account, objective, and market. Use the minimum amount named in TikTok's error response.

Safe retry guidance

  • Do not repeatedly change unrelated settings to escape a TikTok eligibility error.

  • Stop after two failed creation attempts in the same workflow.

  • Do not upload the same valid creative repeatedly in response to targeting, identity, placement, or CTA errors.

  • After a successful create, confirm the resulting entity before creating dependent entities.

  • Review the advertiser, budget, currency, status, and destination on every approval card.

If a structurally valid request continues to fail, share TikTok's error message and request reference with GoMarble support. This helps distinguish an account-enablement restriction from a configuration issue.

Availability

Expanded TikTok Ads management is being released gradually. If you can read basic TikTok performance but cannot access advanced campaign management, Smart+, targeting discovery, or approval-based updates, contact GoMarble support to request access.

After access is enabled, refresh GoMarble or reconnect an external AI client so it loads the updated capabilities.
